In Movement 2, Jenny mapped her own spiral journey through the creation of the song “Bleed With Me, Baby”

In response to Jenny’s storytelling in a spiral, which she drew right in front of my face at our second Cross, I made notes for myself about what got stirred up inside myself, what resonated. See below!

Then I was ready to make a drawing. The sensation I got from the song “Bleed With Me, Baby” was that one being was singing it to another, and inviting all of the feelings that they were having access to — inviting the other person to feel into their own feelings, to stay with the trouble, to feel the vulnerability.

The translucent layer is there because it’s a many-layered process. It felt as if the person on the left is singing to the person on the right. The person on the left is already bleeding, already knows how to access their feelings. You can see that the feeling-words in their brain are in color. The person on the right is figuring out how to do the same… the feeling-words haven’t yet absorbed their color. You can also see it in the tears.

The sound goes from the mouth of the first person and through the ear of the other person. It’s the morphic resonance of what’s possible when you stay with the trouble with another human.

In the final drawing, I decided to pull the white pencil line over the red so as to express agitas and the energy of the line “Bleed with me.”
