Getting Jenny’s five songs, my reaction was, “I want to make album art!”

Some of the album art incorporated thoughts about the actual song, and connected it back to earlier threads (such as Donna Haraway’s Staying With the Trouble, which I quoted in Movement 2).

One of the songs Jenny wrote was “Every Face in Firelight,” which she talks about here. The drawing that came to me for that song was quite different in style. I was curious about why that was, and, as I was making it, I realized that the drawing was for Dale, and so I asked Jenny to give it to him. We didn’t know it at the time, but our relationship with Dale became another important strand in our spiral. He would become a “pinging partner,” a source of tremendous aliveness in our days and our thoughts.
